
Pichai Sundararajan better known as Sundar Picha, is an Indian-American business executive. [6] He is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary Google.Born in Madurai, India,[4] Pichai earned his degree from IIT Kharagpur in metallurgical engineering. After moving to the United States, Pichai earned an M.S. from Stanford University in materials science as well as engineering. He further earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and was named a Siebel Scholar and an Palmer Scholar, respectively.Pchai began his career as a material engineer. After a brief stint with McKinsey, Pichai moved to Google in 2004. In Google, he was responsible for the development of Google Drive as well as product management and innovation. He also managed the creation of Google Maps and Gmail. Pichai announced WebM in 2010 and announced open-sourcing the new codec for video called VP8 from Google. In 2012 the Chromebook was released. Pichai added Android to the Google products he managed in 2013.
